     HOW CAN WE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STEP-UP AND STEP -DOWN TRANSFORMER

When the number of coil in primary is more than the secondary is said to be a STEP DOWN transformer

When the number of coil in secondary is more than the primary is said to be a STEP UP transformer
